Hello all! It's been a while since I have posted something new, but great news, I'll be starting art school in Basel Switzerland this Fall, so I'm hoping to start posting more regularly and sharing my school assignments with you (the world!)
In the last three months I have been to Europe and the USA, and during this time I have got some time to sketch and draw some fun things on the go. My latest focus was drawing pinecones. Their always changing structure and complexity have kept me busy trying to understand them. I'm still not sure what they really are. As a child I used to pick them up from the ground to look if they hold any pine-nuts in them. When they did, it turned into a big feast for me and my neighbour friend. Then we would sit on the side walk surrounded by pine cones holding small rocks in our hands for cracking the little black nuts. And with every bite we had to have more and more until we were all covered in the black chalky dust they leave on your when you touch their shell.
